Unleash your creativity! Do you want to share your creativity and inspire children in the arts? By attending this CPD workshop you will gain a better understanding of working in education settings and developing workshops.
The session is for independent artists, who want to teach and inspire children about the arts and need some advice on how to approach this in a practical way. Michelle will provide you with the tools and know-how to enable you to optimise and explore the utilisation of your talents in the Early Years context. Activities during the session will include interactive experiences, including large and small group discussions.
Michelle Bugby is a Senior Lecturer in Early Years at The University of Northampton. She holds the Early Years Teacher status with over twenty years in practice, specialising in early education and care before entering Higher Education. She is a qualified shoe designer which has ignited her passion for promoting creativity and therapeutic approaches in the classroom. Michelle’s PHD research focus is on investigating young children’s uses of digital and non-digital semiotic artefacts at home and how these may influence their reading behaviours, motivations, and attitudes. This research is continuing to develop through an international community of sharing practice based at the University of Northampton. Michelle has presented at international conferences on her extensive practice experience, with a particular focus on Creativity and Inclusion.
