Online talk: Digital Curating with Julia Greenway

This Wednesday 24th February, we will be joined for a talk by Julia Greenway, Visiting Curator on the Digital Curating module at the University of Northampton, delivered in partnership with NN. Julia will speak about her creative practice and the peculiarities of curating in both virtual and physical spaces.

Julia Greenway is an independent curator originally from Detroit Michigan. Focusing on how digital media influences the aesthetic presentation of gender, economics, and environment, she began her curatorial practice with Interstitial, in Seattle, Washington. She was named the 2017-2018 Curator-in-Residence with Disjecta Contemporary in Portland, Oregon. Upon relocating to London in 2018 to pursue an MFA in Curating at Goldsmiths, she independently produced Gery Georgieva’s UWU Channel Radiance at Cubitt Artists and Joey Holder’s Semelparous at Springhealth Leisure Centre in early 2020.

In light of the current COVID-19 restrictions, the event will happen on Zoom – a link will be emailed to attendees. This event will be live captioned and transcription will be available afterwards. The event will be recorded for archival purposes. For help with how to set up Zoom and accessibility enquiries, email maria@northamptonarts.org.
