Work In Progress (WIP) was a free online event open to artists and makers at all stages of their careers.
Led by Diane Edwards, this Work In Progress began with an artist talk, followed by a friendly and supportive peer review where the audience was invited to present their creative work and ideas. There was no limit on attendees for the talk but the presentation slots were limited to 5 participants, open to artists and makers at all stages of their careers.
We invited artists to show up and talk about their ideas, practice or work in progress to get feedback from Diane Edwards and the group. Each participant had 15 minutes to share their work in progress
About the Artist
Diane Edwards is an artist working across digital art, moving-image, sculpture and installation. Drawing parallelisms between psychological and synthetic landscapes, she explores the tension created by digital and physical spaces. Her research recreates junctions and disjunctures between computation and real life, organic and artificial bodies, while paying attention to the emotions that surface from such a turbulent tangle.
Recent projects have been exhibited in Transmediale, Berlin, Cryptic, Glasgow, Piksel Festival, Bergen, Glasgow International, S.L.I.C.E, Berlin, Quartier am Hafen, Cologne, +DEDE, Berlin, DE, Shipment, London, Chalton Gallery, London, UK, Die Digitale Festival, Dusseldorf, Hidden Door, Edinburgh, Artificial Intelligence Autumn Session, Goethe Institut, Glasgow, [ SPACE ], London. Diane also co-runs Gossamer Fog: a non-for-profit gallery in London.
